TorrentPrivacy Datalek: Inloggegevens Gelekt!

Het was zeer makkelijk te traceren waar het wachtwoord vandaan kwam. Ik gebruik namelijk voor elke website een verschillend wachtwoord.

De inloggegevens waren van mijn oude TorrentPrivacy account.

Omdat ik voor elke website en dienst een ander wachtwoord gebruik is er geen schade. Maar andere gebruikers die dezelfde inloggegevens voor meerdere websites gebruiken komen er minder goed vanaf.

Mogelijke scenario’s:

• TorrentPrivacy is gehacked
• TorrentPrivacy medewerker/contractor steelt/lekt/verkoopt inloggegevens

Het bericht was een duidelijke poging om de ontvanger bang te maken met neppe dreigementen. Een kopie van het bericht kan je hieronder lezen.

Conclusie: TorrentPrivacy op VPN Blacklist

Als dit soort gegevens uitlekken en misbruikt worden door afpersers kan je als VPN de boel sluiten. Dag, dag TorrentPrivacy!
